Kabang, the hero dog who saved two girls from a bashing motorcycle is now home.
During her homecoming, Kabang and Mang Rudy visited Mayor Celso Lobregat. Lobregat announced and signed an executive order declaring Kabang as “Ambassador of Goodwill.”
After the declaration, a motorcade was held.
About 25 vehicles and 75 people joined the motorcade where people took pictures of Kabang and Kids were able to touch and pet her.
As of now, Kabang is still resting won’t be seeing the media for a week as doctors found out that Kabang suffered from a jet lag.
“We are sequestering her for the whole week. There will be no public appearances and, with permission from Manong Rudy, she (Kabang) will stay with us,” said Anton Lim, the veterinarian of Kabang.
Mario Arriola, the city veterinarian said that Kabang will play a huge role to educate people on how to take care of animals. He added that his group will help Mang Rudy meet the requirements for government’s housing project.
However, it was not clear of the wife of Christina; their daughter Dina; and the son of Kabang, Jr., will join Mang Rudy.
Christina confirmed that she already left Mang Rudy due to his drinking problems and abusive personality. She also bravely noted that Jr, suffered from abuse and Mang Rudy used to butcher dogs for meat. He will then serve the dog meat to his friends during drinking sessions.
Mang Rudy, never denied that he was once a dog meat eater, but said that he already changed.
